Service to others

In our school we always think of how we can serve and help others. Older pupils are for younger pupils and our School Council meet regularly to support school leadership and improvement.

The School Council decide on a range of charities to support over the course of the year and plan events for the whole school. Some of the charities we have supported have included:

• Our harvest appeal supported a local charity providing food parcels to vulnerable families in the Guiseley area.
• As part of our remembrance focus we raised over £250 in poppy sales for The Royal British Legion.
• The Samaritan's Operation Christmas Child Programme.
• Comic and Sports Relief.
• Children in Need
• Martin House Hospice
• #HelloYellow

As part of our annual remembrance focus, children represent Hawksworth at the memorial service on 11th November at Guiseley Cenotaph and the 100 years anniversary of WW1.
